Superb! The vinyl stuff reminds me of my Dad's creations. He used many a Des O'Connor '45 to create Wimshurst Machines! I should think your stuff be quite popular in the 'Zombie' culture of today though, which like your records, is a resurrection!

Cheers dude. Yeh I couldn't get enough of oils back then, and have stuck with them until my last piece which was the first time I ever used acrylics. Interesting - a bit unforgiving: they dry real quick compared to oils, but I'm learning of the advantage of that.
Now I'm just experimenting with doing paintings without the brush - sponge, cloth, pallet - thats how I did my last one. Seems freer somehow. God I sound like a hippy-twat! Keep at it fellah!

I tend to paint in acrylic but as you say they do dry pretty quick and you haven't quite got the nice blend option that you get with oils. Interesting you are stepping away from the brush, I tend to paint with a palette knife, blade or sponge. Actually pretty much anything that looks interesting. I have a large painting that I painted with a child's plastic rake, that was fun.
